About this photo
The image is a map of England divided into regions with humorous, descriptive names. The regions are labeled with text like "Land north of the Humber," "North shire the place of yew trees," and "(Shire of the) Dumnonii people." The style is cartographic and informative, with a slightly whimsical tone due to the creative labeling. The most notable aspect is the unique and often funny names given to each shire.
