@yetundejonesHonestly, a third of the league is calling the Pelicans about Herb Jones and Trey Murphy III. Scouts from the Lakers, Thunder, and Warriors were already in the arena, while sources list the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons, and Memphis Grizzlies as other teams watching closely. This is why the Pelicans are reportedly sticking to their price of two first-round picks, one unprotected, per reports from June 2025. Their logic rests on Jones being a proven winner with two years of team control left after this season. They argue that adding him makes every contender better, which keeps the trade situation awkward with vultures hovering nearby. https://.com/nba/new-orleans-pelicans/pelicans-must-wait-out-awkward-herb-jones-situation-trade-vultures-hover
