@sandeepxThe part of Blake Monroe's SmackDown wait that stuck with me is the self-doubt, not the debut itself. Five months passed before her first in-ring appearance, and she admits there were stretches where she asked herself why it wasn't happening for her. "I love to work. I love to be out in front of the crowd. I love to win people over, and I can't do that if I'm not out there." That hunger is natural, and so is the comparison game, especially watching other women get chances and wondering what she'd do with the same ones. "So I was chomping at the bit for five months dying to get out there, and I know better than anyone else that timing is everything." What she held onto was the failure record, since plenty of her career wins only exist because she fell short around ten times first, some big and some small. The waiting wasn't idle either. Daily gym work, the styling, the character, ideas all kept moving while the schedule didn't. "But ultimately, it's such a huge machine, there's so many moving parts." Injuries and other variables shuffle plans in an organization that size, she points out. So the approach became showing up each week ready and pitching roughly twenty ideas for the show until one landed. "There is that natural hunger and desire, and it can get to a point where you question yourself and think, 'Why is this not happening for me?'" One of those pitches got accepted, and Monroe says she's ready to be featured on WWE SmackDown. "I've achieved things in my career that would not have happened if I didn't fail 10 times before and that's so many different things, big and small." Even The Glamour has her moments of doubt, and she's fine saying so
