@mickatthemoviesThe sheer commitment to the bit by a landlord who received a text meant for a boyfriend is what makes this story impossible to forget. Conan O'Brien was hosting a segment where a guest had to admit she accidentally sent a romantic message to the wrong person, and when he asked how deep the romance went, whether it was just 'Have a nice day' or something like 'I can't stop thinking about your lips', she said it was much worse. She had typed out, 'Last night was amazing. I can still smell your perfume on my shirt,' intending it for her boyfriend but hitting send on her landlord's number instead. The reply came back immediately with, 'I think you have the wrong number, but I'm glad somebody is having a good time in my apartment,' which made the entire audience burst into laughter right there on the set. That single response turned a standard rental agreement into a full-blown romantic comedy scenario that nobody expected. The embarrassment was so intense that she avoided seeing him in person for two whole weeks, opting to pay her rent online during that entire period just to keep any face-to-face interaction from happening. It wasn't until last month that she finally ran into him again while standing in an elevator, and his first words were asking, 'So… is the perfume still on the shirt?' At that moment, the audience screamed with laughter while she covered her face because she realized he never let the joke go. Her only reaction was to say she wanted the elevator doors to open up on a completely different planet just to escape the situation entirely. The way he kept that story alive for weeks after the initial mistake shows a level of dedication that is both hilarious and slightly terrifying for anyone who has ever made a text error. Conan pointed out that some landlords offer more than just accommodation, and the crowd erupted in applause as the story concluded. #ConanOBrien #Dating
