@kimonEight 2024 BL picks that had fans genuinely invested, and the spread is half the fun: Thailand, Korea, Japan and Taiwan all showing up. Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart! goes the Thai crime-and-betrayal route with romance and chemistry cranked up. Love for Love's Sake comes from Korea as a fantasy romance, emotional and with a plot that doesn't feel like the usual template. Our Youth is the Japanese one about young love, vulnerability and that raw emotional pull. The On1y One, from Taiwan, earns its spot on cinematography and performances, plus a slow-burn arc that takes its time. Love in the Big City is Korean and doesn't flinch, sitting with queer identity, loneliness and a more grown-up kind of storytelling. Unknown, also Taiwanese, lives in complicated feelings and the kind of emotional bond that lingers. I Hear the Sunspot is the gentle Japanese entry, all about understanding and actually talking to each other. My Stand-In brings the Thai drama: obsession, betrayal, heartbreak, second chances. So which one takes the crown for best BL of 2024? And who had the couple chemistry that hit hardest? Which one wrecked you, and which would you hand to a total newcomer? ๐
