    Germany revokes Syrian refugee status

@pavellimGermany has sent letters to thousands of Syrians: refugee status revoked. BAMF writes directly: "Granted refugee status is being revoked. Subsidiary protection is not granted. There is no ban on deportation." First, they targeted criminals and those who traveled home. Now they are expanding. In the first half of 2026, from 8,320 checks, status was removed in 23 percent. A year earlier it was 3.7. P.S. This news is not impressive. According to calculations, between 2020 and 2025, approximately 298,400 people of Syrian origin obtained German citizenship. The total number of people of Syrian origin in Germany is larger, around 1.2–1.3 million.

    About this photo

The image focuses on a document and a rubber stamp. The document is a form from the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, with a stamp indicating "ABGELEHNT" (rejected). Behind the document, a Syrian flag is visible, slightly out of focus. The mood is serious and official, with a stark aesthetic. The prominent stamp and the official document are visually notable. ON-SCREEN TEXT: BUNDESAMT FÜR MIGRATION UND FLÜCHTLINGE Entscheidung nach dem Asylgesetz Aktenzeichen: 3162 15 18759 4 Entscheidung: Asylantrag abgelehnt gemäß § 30 Abs. 1 AsylG ABGELEHNT
