    germany poland employment gender chart

@not_a_newtgermany isn't actually logging fewer hours than everyone else, but german women are the ones picking part-time gigs or staying out of the workforce entirely to handle family stuff. that shift reads like a wealth signal since richer societies just give women way more options to make those calls. contrast that with poland where the labor graph still looks like a soviet relic and full-time work is just the default setting for everyone. honestly that whole poland-style pattern feels temporary and probably won't stick around once germany finishes its deindustrialization phase.

    About this photo

This is a bar chart displaying full-time versus part-time employment by gender for several European countries. The chart is stacked, showing the percentage of total employment for full-time men, part-time men, full-time women, and part-time women. The data is presented in a clean, infographic style with clear labels and a legend. The title of the chart is "Full-time vs Part-time Employment by Gender (% of total employment, stacked by men/women, approx. 2024)".
