@rogers_jamieR-rated horror OtherMommy starring JessicaChastain remains #1, but oh boy the erosion due to negative WOM is at full swing at US BoxOffice! The horror grossed 1.7M on WED, a harsh -41.4% drop from TUE Discount Day (vs TheBlackPhone 2.7M, -15.7%, LongLegs 2.5M, -21.5%, TheExorcistBeliever 1.4M, -38.4%, Scream5’s 1.6M, -24.6%) It hits a 35.2M US cume in 6 days. The biggest ace in Blumhouse’s sleeves is always keeping budget under control, and with a 19M production price tag not including marketing, OtherMommy should have no trouble to make most of the investment back while still in theatres even if it crashes next weekend.
