    GTA VI development delays explained

@fightdeskRockstar's internal struggles with GTA VI go beyond just the usual delays. Bloomberg points to the COVID-19 Pandemic as a major factor in why the game took so long to develop, noting that every R* employee worked from home for months which tanked productivity across the industry. Rockstar's performance-capture studios had to halt work entirely during this period while a surge of hiring made communication extremely difficult across the company. The lack of progress frustrated some senior designers so much that they quit the project. Nelson described the doubt developers must have felt, saying he can imagine how it would feel sitting somewhere in a studio looking at this thing day after day and seeing it not come together and starting to go is it ever going to come together.

    About this photo

A man and a woman are the focus, both wearing bandanas and hats. They appear to be walking in front of a convenience store with signs for "WINE" and "FOOD". The mood is somewhat mysterious or edgy, with the face coverings and casual attire. The man's t-shirt features a cartoon manatee wearing sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt, which is a notable detail.
