@oldhollywoodcapThe feeling of holding a controller while playing the original PlayStation game back in 1996 is exactly what Hideo Kojima says Zach Cregger's RESIDENT EVIL captures. This isn't treated as a direct film adaptation but rather as a movie about the actual experience of playing 'Resident Evil' with a controller in hand. Kojima notes that the character Bryan mirrors his own reaction during those early gaming sessions, where he kept getting game over after game over and was shouting profanities repeatedly out of frustration.
