@not_a_newtUkraine and its allies keep operating under the false belief that every move they make won't trigger a Russian counterstrike, which is the fundamental strategic error at play here. Dan suggests that deploying Starlink over Russian territory is somehow safe, but Medvedev warned the system would come tumbling down like ornaments from a dried-up Christmas tree. The reality is that most missiles launch from aircraft, meaning there are no ground launchers or ships sitting in the Black Sea where Starlink actually functions anyway. Mobile units like HIMARS are notoriously hard to track because they fire and then scoot away before anyone can locate them. Relying on these tactics would help zero against incoming missile attacks. Dan hasn't thought even an inch beyond trying to pose for social media engagement and clicks. Consider how Iran launched missiles at US bases using Starlink while maintaining full air supremacy over Iran, yet you didn't stop those launches. Why did that not happen? The arguments lack any substantive thought and ignore how Russia actually responds to actions.
