Australia came in third with 640,400 tonnes while the United Kingdom finished fourth at 460,300 tonnes. Germany produced 244,100 tonnes and Lithuania was close behind with 234,100 tonnes. France rounded out the next tier at 216,400 tonnes before Sudan hit 185,300 tonnes. Egypt reached 128,200 tonnes and Poland added 115,300 tonnes to the global total. Italy contributed 114,400 tonnes while Peru brought in 103,500 tonnes. Latvia produced 92,600 tonnes and Ireland added 82,400 tonnes. Tunisia finished with 74,100 tonnes and Denmark followed at 73,300 tonnes. Spain made 51,700 tonnes and Sweden added 51,100 tonnes. Algeria closed out the list with 50,200 tonnes and Morocco ended things at 49,300 tonnes. These figures come from FAOSTAT (2024) where Terra Cultiva handled the calculations and presentation.
