@yuna_yThe most unrealistic part of The Mountain Between Us wasn't surviving a plane crash without gear or surviving a mountain lion attack. It was Kate Winslet's character actually planning to marry her boring fiancé back home when Idris Elba was literally right there carrying her across glaciers. This movie's actual title should be Two Extremely Attractive People Hike Through The Snow While A Lab Mix Steals Every Single Scene. I didn't care if the humans made it off the mountain, I just spent 2 hours hyperventilating praying the dog didn't get eaten. Kate Winslet falling for Idris Elba in a blizzard is the most believable part of the entire film. You can fake frostbite. You cannot fake that chemistry. The mountain was irrelevant. Gravity did the rest. Synopsis: Two attractive adults and one extremely professional dog get yeeted into the Rockies. What follows is hypothermia, questionable medical ethics, and a romance so committed it outlasts the rescue. The Mountain Between Us: come for the crash, stay because leaving would be rude.
