@urdjakademiksThe political landscape in the Republic of the Congo is shifting as President Félix Tshisekedi appoints Lieutenant General Paul Ilunga Dikita as the acting first president of the High Military Court. This move places a Kasaiian in charge after the position was left vacant by the death of Lieutenant General Joseph Mutombo Katalay. Katalay died last Friday in a plane crash in the suburbs of Kenge, Kwango Province, while returning from a service mission in Kikwit. The region was formerly known as Bandundu. Dikita was received by the President yesterday, Friday, in Kinshasa. Reports indicate that Tshisekedi found no non-Kasaian citizen worthy of the role. There is growing concern that the Kasai tribe is imposing itself as Tshisekedi's political situation worsens.
