@kunalsummerDave Meltzer confirms that people inside WWE raised concerns over the specific wording in The Rock's tribute video for PAC. It wasn't the fact he made the video that caused a stir, but rather how he praised AEW as being good for business and helpful to wrestling. Meltzer points out that this positive messaging about AEW doesn't align with what WWE wants to project, especially since The Rock serves on the TKO board of directors. While no one is going to be mad at him for doing the video, the phrasing where he gave the stamp of approval saying they work hard and help make wrestling was very surprising to some. On the relationship front, Meltzer states that Rock and Nick Khan are close and he does not believe that has changed, though it remains unclear if Khan was informed beforehand about the content. He may have told Nick ahead of time or maybe he didn't, but he can do whatever he wants. The core issue is that the company likely doesn't want that message out there.
