@FootynewsPortuguese media are reporting that Cristiano Ronaldo could announce his retirement from the national team within hours. If that happens, Portugal loses the player who reshaped its entire football story. The before and after is stark. Portugal had zero international titles before his debut. Since then, three. On an individual level, the list is absurd. He is Portugal's all-time top scorer. He is the top Portuguese scorer in World Cup history. He is the only player to score in six different World Cups. He holds the record for most hat-tricks with a national team. He holds the record for the longest hat-trick in World Cup history. He is the all-time top scorer at the national team level. He has the most international caps in men's football history, totaling 234. He is the top scorer in European Championship final tournaments. And he is the only player to score in five World Cups and five European Championships. A career that changed what Portugal is in international football. THANK YOU, LEGEND!! ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!
