@vitor.gamedayNo pre-orders on Valor Mortis, so the plan is simple: wait for the finished thing, then decide. It arrives October 13 at $39.99, with roughly 20 hours of story inside. Free updates are coming in multiples once it's out, and the call on that price was to keep the fall rush from turning into a wallet check. "Respect the players, and the players notice" is how the devs put it, and they figure people will pick up on it.

The image shows a first-person perspective of a video game scene. The player character is holding a revolver in their left hand and a sword in their right. In the center of the frame, a grotesque, mutated creature with a cannon strapped to its back stands in a field of purple flowers. The mood is dark and suspenseful, typical of a horror or action game. A small UI element in the bottom right corner displays "00" twice.
