@FootynewsNovak Djokovic just dropped a story about bumping into Leo Messi at a restaurant in the United States that changes how you see their rivalry. When Messi asked about tennis, Djokovic shut it down immediately by pointing out he has already won everything in football and shouldn't even think about conquering another sport yet. He told him to wait until Djokovic retires before trying his hand at the racket game. Messi's comeback was perfect though, noting how lucky he is that football uses feet instead of hands. That led Djokovic to admit he feels the same way since Messi chose football over tennis. If Leo had played tennis from the start of his career, Djokovic claims he likely wouldn't have won a single title because Messi would have dominated the court. The Serbian legend made sure to call Messi the greatest footballer of all time while laughing off the whole conversation. It is wild to hear two legends banter like this where Djokovic praises Messi's dominance while jokingly asserting his own safety net in tennis.
