    African Gold Reserves 2026

    @writersroom.boardwalkThe World Gold Council data as of 30 June 2026 puts Algeria at the top for gold reserves in Africa with 174 tonnes. Libya comes next holding 147 tonnes, followed by Egypt with 130 tonnes and South Africa sitting at 126 tonnes. The gap widens significantly after that since Ghana is fifth with 24.4 tonnes. Morocco holds 22.12 tonnes for sixth place while Mauritius has 12.42 tonnes ranking seventh. Tunisia sits eighth with 6.84 tonnes before Zimbabwe takes ninth with 4.4 tonnes. Mozambique rounds out the top ten at tenth place with 3.94 tonnes. #Finance
