    Tesla FR-076 driverless design

@not_a_newtTesla just dropped a cab that flips the entire script on how cars work. It's fully driverless, meaning no brake pedals and no steering wheel at all. That absence ripples through the whole build. There isn't a drop of hydraulic fluid anywhere inside because the car lacks any plumbing for brake fluid. Instead, electronic actuators get triggered by the computer over a wire to clamp things down. The brake pads lift completely out of the way for efficiency while the Tesla system tunes every stop with extreme sensitivity to keep it smooth. This makes it the first production vehicle ever designed with zero hydraulic fluids. Steering follows the same logic since there is no mechanical link between the wheels and where a wheel would be. Most mechanical parts vanish from the architecture entirely when you remove the human driver. The result looks like a massive battery housing electric motors at each corner plus a single monitor. The whole setup is described as simple and cheap.
