Styles noted he has never helped anyone set up rings when paid to do a show for them, and the ring crew member involved hasn't said anything to him directly either. He explained that while he raises his kids to be polite and thankful and is hard on them regarding wrestling without sympathy, he will protect their integrity. The whole thing shouldn't have blown up like this since it should have been resolved by people talking like adults, but after multiple attempts on the line, he felt someone was trying to make his kid look bad. He checked on everything first before speaking up because he's a dad who defends his son when someone else is wrong, even if maybe he shouldn't have brought it up at all.
