@rogers_jamieIt's wild that even a massive franchise like Toy Story 5 can't break the legs of Obsession at the US box office. Focus Features' R-rated original horror phenomenon, directed by YouTuber Curry Barker, is still going strong. The film grossed $2.4 million on its sixth nationwide Monday, the biggest such Monday ever for a horror movie, with just a 25.3% drop from last week.

A close-up movie poster for the horror film Obsession shows a young woman lying down with her head resting on another person’s shoulder, eyes wide and mouth slightly open in a tense expression. The dark, moody lighting and blurred background create a sinister atmosphere. Large red text at the bottom reads “A FILM BY CURRY BARKER OBSESSION IN CINEMAS MAY 15.” A yellow CinemaScore circle with an “A–” grade sits on the right side next to the CinemaScore logo and hashtag.
