@oldhollywoodcapKane Parsons turns 21 today. At just 20, he became A24's youngest director and the youngest filmmaker ever to debut a film at #1 at the North American box office with 'Backrooms.' Even more incredible: he was only 16 when he uploaded the original short film to YouTube.

Two men stand facing each other on a pale green studio floor against a matching backdrop. The younger man on the left wears a black long-sleeve shirt, headphones around his neck, jeans, and holds white papers. The older man on the right wears a light purple button-down shirt with rolled sleeves, dark trousers, and holds papers while resting one hand on his hip. Both appear to be mid-conversation in a minimalist studio setting.
