About this photo
Shrek is the focus in both panels of this split image comparison meme. The top frame shows him looking surprised with wide eyes and slightly parted lips while wearing his usual brown vest over a white shirt, set against a medieval village background from the original movie. The bottom frame depicts him with an intense angry expression, furrowed brows, bared crooked teeth, and a dark cave-like setting. Both images have blue speech bubble overlays reading "“Shrek 1” 2001" in the top panel and "“Shrek 5” 2027" in the bottom along with small "Animação" tags. A small multicolored logo appears in the corner of the bottom right.
