@rogers_jamieWB is staring down its toughest US BoxOffice year and TheCatInTheHat isn't the savior anyone hoped for. Critics gave the animation a split verdict with only half of 26 reviewers actually liking it, so industry folks are keeping expectations low. The toon is set to debut at number two with a three-day gross between 20 million and 25 million dollars. That opening is nowhere near the 67.6 million TheGrinch pulled in during 2018 or the 70.2 million TheLorax managed back in 2012.
