The public conversation around Zach Cregger's 'RESIDENT EVIL' wasn't about the movie itself. Speaking on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast (https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-town-with-matthew-belloni/id1612131897?i=1000798853680), he expressed frustration that the discussion focused entirely on fan expectations rather than the film. The debate centered on whether the work met specific standards held by different game fans. Topics included why the film did or did not resemble the source material. It was just a lot about 'why isn't this like the source material?' OR 'why is it good that it's not like the source material?'
