Pakistan has established its first sanctuary for the Indus River dolphin, which ranks among the rarest freshwater dolphins globally. The government initiative secures 123 miles of river habitat. This protected zone is home to approximately two thirds of the remaining population. Conservation workers from SINDH WILD are involved in the effort.
