Sen. Rick Scott R-FL is pushing the Senate to reconvene Monday morning and stay in Washington D.C. until January 3rd when Democrats get sworn in. He wants the chamber working every single day through Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's without a break. The goal is balancing the budget, passing permitting reform, securing elections, and getting the National Defense Authorization Act done. People want jobs and more affordable government so Republicans should use the power they have right now. We know the Dems are gonna destroy the filibuster but if it stays intact we should use reconciliation instead. Ron Johnson and Mike Lee are part of this effort to send common-sense legislation to the President before the new administration takes office. This rapid legislative approach makes sense while Republicans control the chamber.
Limiting political lawsuits should be priority number one
