1621 Definitely have the moment with 'Bababa' but is it enough for IFANN award? Esaú Ortiz is strong contender for me, his retrobélico sound is very fresh and unique, not just another viral group. P-pop is growing but that specific niche sound from Monterrey feels more groundbreaking this month.

Sailorr's 'pookie's requiem' hit different the first time I heard it on tiktok, but then I actually sat with the lyrics and realized she's writing about real grief and loss, not just making a catchy sound. That bridge where her voice cracks gets me every time. She deserves this award over the others bc she's building something lasting, not just a moment.
Remember that scene where they sang 'Tennessee' under the moonlight? Pure magic. The Creekers really captured our hearts with that one, and we're still here cheering them on!
