Account and Data Deletion
How to delete an iFANN account and what happens to your data.
Request deletion in iFANN
- Sign in to the iFANN app or website.
- Open Settings → Account → Account actions.
- Select Delete account, complete the identity check, and confirm.
On the web, you can start from Account settings. If you cannot access the account, email [email protected] from the account email address and include the username. We may request additional information to verify ownership.
30-day recovery period
Your profile is deactivated immediately and your sessions and push-notification tokens are revoked. The account then enters a 30-day deletion period. Signing in successfully during those 30 days reactivates the account and cancels deletion. After the deadline, the deletion cannot be reversed.
What is permanently deleted or anonymized
After 30 days, iFANN removes or irreversibly anonymizes account credentials and identifiers, profile details, authentication-provider links, device tokens, social graph, preferences, messages, and authored posts, videos, comments, room threads, submissions, and other account-associated content. Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked when applicable. The former username is replaced with a random anonymous identifier.
Limited retention
Limited records may be retained only when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, financial recordkeeping, child safety, moderation evidence, or backup integrity. Retained records are access-restricted, kept only as long as necessary, and are not displayed under the former public username. Storage objects are removed through a reviewed deletion process after their public references have been removed.
Data export and other requests
Before deletion, use Settings → Account → Download your data to export the account data available through iFANN. For access, correction, privacy, or deletion questions, email [email protected]. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
